Never stop wondering

Kantti is a hub of knowledge, stories and interaction in the heart of Kuopio. The renovated Kuopio Museum will be connected to the main library by a new building, and together they will form Kantti, opening in June 2021.

Combining natural sciences, cultural history as well as the library’s collections and services, Kantti serves as a focal point for learning, wonderment and new ideas.

Kuopio Museum will open in two stages: in June 2021, a new space for temporary exhibitions, a museum shop, workshop venues and a café will be opened. The old side of the museum and the exhibitions on cultural history and natural sciences will be opened in late 2021 or early 2022.
